The course is fully online and consists of six modules. Each module contains approximately 2 hours of lecture content. Modules are released monthly between March and May and include a combination of video lectures and demonstrations.

This program is designed to help professionals, students and lifelong learners understand and apply Event Management in practical, everyday contexts – both in the workplace and beyond.
This globally accessible, fully online course introduces learners from all backgrounds to the dynamic field of event management, with a focus on theory and real-world examples. After completing all modules, you will gain foundational understanding, hands-on experience, and strategic insight into event management. No technical experience is required.
You must be at least 18 years old to participate in this course.

- All course modules and learning materials are offered completely free of charge and are accessible to everyone.
- Learners may choose to upgrade to the Certificate Track for a fee of $149. The free version and the certificate version are identical in terms of content, modules, videos, readings, and quizzes. The only difference is that learners who upgrade and successfully complete all required quizzes and assessments will receive a digital, verifiable certificate issued by Virscend University.
- Those who do not upgrade can still access the full course experience at no cost but will not receive a certificate.

About the Content Creator
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ozen Kirant Yozcu
Dr. Özen Kirant Yozcu worked in different managerial positions in the sales and marketing department including MICE in the tourism and hospitality industry between 1994- 2003. She has been an Associate Professor since 2023. Dr. Yozcu worked at Bogazici University Tourism Administration Department between 2007-2023 as a professor. She has been living in Porto since 2018 and is an adjunct professor at ISAG- European Business School and Research Centre in Business Sciences and Tourism (CICET – FCVC). Her research interests include hotel management, marketing and marketing communication management, luxury management and event management. She also consults and is involved in many local and international corporate projects. She worked at Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) for the preparation of MICE Training Materials Project, and she is now GSTC Global MICE Trainer. Besides, she has many studies about sustainable/ green event management and gives seminars about these topics.

Course Requirements
To successfully complete Event Management course, participants must view all module lectures and demonstrations, complete all quizzes with a score of 80% after each module. Participants must complete all modules with a minimum score of 80% to be eligible for the Advanced Certificate.
